Faeriecraft Treading the path of Faerie Magic

What Is Faeriecraft?

Faeriecraft is essentially the merging of the faerie faith and the practice of witchcraft or wicca. Witchcraft is also known as the Old Religion which has its roots in paganism; the traditional faith of the ancient peoples of our land. Paganism is everyone's spiritual heritage and works with nature and nature spirits. Out of this come the faeries; a natural honouring of everything about you. Sadly in our mainstream culture, faeries are generally perceived to be a fancy that only children believe in.

Awareness of faeries and their sacred nature, like their angel cousins are growing and we are now at a time when their spiritual presence is unfurling in our consciousness. The time has now come for faeriecraft to emerge. Faeriecraft is an ancient pathway and it is still practiced today by groups and individuals. The faeriecraft I am introducing to you allows anyone to follow it's sparkling pathway, without a teacher, guru or group. It would seem natural that faeriecraft does not exclude anyone who sincerely seeks this way, as I do believe that the faeries are for everyone. They really do dwell in every hanging dew drop, every intricate snow flake and glistening delicate spider's web. This is my version of faeriecraft and this is the pathway as I have shaped it, as a meeting of my own ideas, research and the influences and information that have been given to me by the faeries themselves. The faeriecraft which makes up this way is more faerie centred than any other pathway that I know. It allows those who are not from a wiccan background to find a way into this system, as although faeriecraft is a melding of the faerie faith and wicca, I am simply using the wiccan framework to hang the folds of faeriecraft upon.

This form of faeriecraft really works well because it begins with the imagination and faeries as a way in and everyone has an experience of faeries, however simplistic, from fairy stories as children. The way in is not in wicca, which may seem an alien and maybe even off putting concept to many. This faerie centred pathway is the way that I shape my life and that of my family.
