Faeriecraft Treading the path of Faerie Magic

Who Are The Faerie Kings?

As with the faerie queens, their kings are similarly described as being demoted Celtic Gods, being forgotten and faded to the realms of Faerie Land. Faerie Kings are too overwhelmingly numerous to list, especially of the Tuatha de Danaan of Ireland, where there is an abundance of information documented regarding this race. This once majestic and powerful race, led by their kings afforded status as gods, but eventually became the Daoine Sidhe and according to Brian Froud and Alan Lee in Faeries, ‘…….with the encroachment of Christianity… they diminished in importance, they correspondingly dwindled in size to become a race of faerie beings.

The tales of the kings tell of lives interwoven with battles, lust and magic and their devotion to their fey queens. Faerie Kings are the rulers of our dreams, they will take us on horseback to the enchanted places of our imaginations, that only a king can command us to unlock.
